i-SPEED by VNNIC is an application that helps measure Internet access speed in Vietnam, developed by the Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC) under the Ministry of Information and Communications.

This application accurately reflects the user's internet access speed. The measured data will support and contribute to the development of Vietnam's internet infrastructure and services, aiming to improve the quality of service provided by internet service providers.

How to measure Internet speed with i-SPEED by VNNIC

Step 1: First, download i-SPEED by VNNIC, launch it, and allow i-SPEED to access your location to collect measurement data. Then select "Perform measurement" to measure your current network speed.

Step 2: Alternatively, you can select a few nearby areas to measure the network speed of that area. To do this, select "Change measurement point" on your current network icon.

Once the measurement information is displayed, you will have parameters such as:

  1. Download speed: This refers to the speed at which data is downloaded from the internet at the time of testing. A higher download speed means faster data downloads. This is especially important for those who frequently watch movies, download games, or download large documents and files. The unit of measurement for download speed is Mbps.
  2. Upload: This refers to the device's data upload speed at the time of testing. A higher upload speed means faster data can be uploaded from the user's device to the internet, making it suitable for sending data, documents, and video clips to friends, family, or other cloud storage platforms and applications.
  3. Ping and Jitter: These are two important parameters for those who play games or make calls via apps like Messenger , Zalo , Viber , etc. If these two parameters are high, the call quality will be compromised, and it will be frustrating for gamers as actions will be constantly delayed.

Based on the above metrics, it's clear that ensuring stable internet speed is crucial. If you're experiencing significant download or upload latency, or especially network lag, try i-SPEED by VNNIC.
