Recently, Google unveiled a number of new tools and features for its mobile operating system developers at the Android Dev Summit conference. The most prominent of these is the launch of the API In-app Updates, which gives developers two new ways to urge users to update their apps.
This is what developers have asked Google for a long time because they always want users to update to the latest version of their application.
Two ways for developers to force users to update their applications include:
The first way for serious errors helps developers to ensure users upgrade immediately when the update fixes a major bug. The developer can then issue a notification that blocks the entire application screen and requires the user to restart the application. The application will be updated during the restart process.
Second way: Allow users to continue using the application when the update is downloaded. These update streams can be customized by the developer.
Currently, the API updates the application in a new way that has been provided by Google to several partners for testing and will be extended to many developers in the future.
