Buying access to a shared ChatGPT Plus login is not a sound substitute for your own account. OpenAI's account-sharing policy says an account is intended for the individual who created it; other people should use their own accounts. Using your own account on several devices is different from several people sharing one login.
What sellers mean by a “shared Plus account”
A seller may give several customers the credentials to one subscription and divide the cost among them. That does not create separate personal accounts or an official multi-user Plus plan. A seller's promise about the number of users or available messages does not change the service's terms.

Privacy is the main practical concern
People with access to the same account may be able to see conversations, uploaded material, settings, or other account content. Shared access also mixes personalization and makes it difficult to establish who performed an action.
Do not put work files, private correspondence, payment details, or credentials into a login controlled by someone else. A seller's claim that chats are “private” should not be treated as an access-control guarantee.
Access and usage are outside your control
- Credentials can change: The account owner controls recovery and may lock you out.
- Usage competes: Other users can consume the account's available allowance.
- Account problems affect everyone: Misuse or security restrictions can interrupt access for all users of that login.
- Support is harder: A reseller arrangement may leave you without direct control of the subscription or billing relationship.

Do not choose a plan from old claims
The original article quoted a fixed Vietnamese price and a fixed message allowance. Those figures should not be used to evaluate a current offer: prices, taxes, currency conversion, models, features, and limits can change.
A paid plan also does not guarantee accurate or current answers. Verify consequential information against reliable sources regardless of the plan, and check the features actually available in your account.

A community poll from the original article is a historical snapshot, not evidence of current market share or a reason to share credentials.
Safer options
- Start with your own account and evaluate the access available to you.
- If you need a paid feature or higher allowance, review the current official plan and checkout details directly.
- For a team, evaluate a plan that provides separate member accounts and appropriate administration, rather than pooling a personal password.
- Before uploading work material, check your employer's data policy and the account's privacy settings.

If you already shared your own account
Stop distributing the login, review account access, change your password through the official service, and enable multi-factor authentication. If you used a social sign-in provider, review that provider's security settings as well. Contact official support when you cannot regain control.
The lower advertised price of a shared login does not compensate for losing control over the account and the information stored in it.
