How to use StandBy on iOS 17 to turn iPhone into a smart watch
iOS 17 has launched iPhone users around the world with many updates and new features, including the StandBy feature. StandBy mode will turn the iPhone screen into an electronic watch screen that displays various information such as the time, weather updates, and the latest sports scores. Here are detailed information about StandBy mode on the latest iOS 17 iPhone operating system.
What is StandBy mode on iPhone?
StandBy on iPhone works and turns the iPhone's screen into a smart display with information displayed like time, weather, calendar, photos, music, match scores, and more.
This mode is displayed when we plug in the charger and leave the phone in a horizontal orientation, making it easy for users to monitor and read the content displayed on the screen.
How to use StandBy mode on iPhone
Step 1:
Users first access the Settings section and then select the StandBy feature . Next we also enable this StandBy feature to use.
Step 2:
Now you just need to charge the battery and put the phone horizontally to see the iPhone screen change.
While in Standby mode, you can swipe horizontally to cycle between widget, gallery, and clock views.
Step 3:
In the utility view interface , we press and hold on any utility to make changes again.
Tap the minus icon in the top left corner of the widget to remove it. Or touch the plus icon in the upper left corner of the screen to select and add a new widget. After making changes, press the Done button in the top right corner to confirm the changes.
Step 4:
Swipe left to enter gallery view. Next, press and hold the screen to open the menu and select the image that appears in Standby mode .
Then click the plus icon to add a photo . Tap the minus icon to delete the photo.
In clock view, long-pressing on the screen opens the menu and cycles between clock styles.
With iPhone 14 Pro or later, you have a few more settings. Click on the StandBy feature and enable both StandBy and Always On features .
Below in Night Mode , there will be more Night Mode and Motion To Wake options. When enabled, these features will wake up the iPhone screen as soon as the phone detects motion at night.
