How to Clear Safari Search History
On Mac
Open Safari. You can delete recent search keywords on the Safari browser.
Click the URL bar. If you use an older version of Safari with its own search bar, click the Search bar.
Delete the URL showing in the bar. This will help recent search keywords appear.
Click "Clear Recent Searches" at the bottom of the list.
This process only removes recently searched keywords. You can see more online if you need to delete your entire browsing history.
Delete certain items. If you just want to delete certain search history entries, you can do so in Bookmarks view.
Click the Bookmarks button then press ⌥ Opt+ ⌘ Cmd+ 2.
Find the item you want to delete.
Select the item and press the key Del, or right-click the content and select "Delete".
On iOS
Open the Settings app. The only way to clear Safari search history for iOS devices is to delete the entire browsing history.
Tap "Safari". The app is below the "Maps" option.
Scroll down and tap "Clear History and Website Data". You will be asked to confirm by tapping "Clear".
This will delete all browsing history, cache, and recent search history.
