Depending on where you live, the placement of keys on your keyboard will differ. This can be confusing if you're used to using a certain keyboard to type in a certain language. For this reason, you can customize the input your Mac receives...

Method 1 of 1:
Setting keyboard shortcuts
For easy transitions between each input method, you can use shortcuts on your keyboard. To customize these shortcuts:
-
Click on "Keyboard Shortcuts" -
Click on the "Keyboard & Text Input" tab on the left. Scroll down to the bottom and enable "Select the previous input source" and "Select next source in Input menu" by checking the boxes to the left. -
Customize the keys used. If a yellow triangle appears, it means that the current shortcut is already in use by another application. To change the shortcut, just double click on the shortcut and type in the new version. Once you finish, close System Preferences and toggle between inputs with the shortcuts you designed!
