Google unexpectedly deleted the Dark Mode feature from Android Messages just days after adding this feature in a new update with the 3.5.048 number without giving any explanation.
According to PhoneArena, Dark Mode can turn the app's white background gray to help protect the eyes of users. Recently, however, a Reddit user has discovered the Dark Mode feature that was deleted from Android Messages first, then this has been confirmed by many other application users. Accordingly, the setting switches to Dark Mode on the locked Android Messages app and the app's background has reverted to the same default white background.
Obviously, Dark Mode offers many benefits but doesn't understand why Google temporarily stopped switching to this mode for Android Messages users.
Currently, Google has yet to give any feedback on this issue. Hopefully turning off the Dark Mode from Android Messages is only temporary and will be restored as soon as possible.
