Experimental Google Chrome opens the emoji by right-clicking
Google engineers are experimenting with how to simplify the insertion of emoticons by bringing Emoji to the Right-click Menu. This feature is currently available on Google Chrome Canary Build, can be turned on by going to chrome: // flags page and finding Emoji Context Menu.
When you enable this feature, you will have to restart your browser to make the change work. Meanwhile, inserting emoticons will be faster.
You right-click the cell you want to fill, select Emoji and choose the emoticon you want.
Currently the way to insert emoji with this Right-click Menu is only available on Macs, but the Chrome Flags site says this feature will be extended to all four operating systems, including Chrome OS, Linux and Windows.
Since Chrome Canary is a build used to test live features, it will take at least 2, 3 or more copies until it appears on the Stable version.
Insert emoticons more quickly
In the meantime, users have to choose via 3rd party applications or Windows Touch Keyboard application on Windows, or combine the shortcut Command + Control + Space on the Mac to insert emoji into the browser.
Particularly on mobile, this feature is not necessary because all the keyboards on most devices have their own button to insert emoji.
