There are 2 main causes of 0x80070057 error.

1. Error 0x80070057 happened during the process of trying to backup files on Windows 7.

2. During the installation process of Windows 7 operating system or System Reserved partition is faulty, then you will also have to "face" error 0x80070057.

3. The main cause of 0x80070057 error on your computer is a faulty Registry, and other causes.

1. Error 0x80070057 during backup of files

During the use of the default backup software on Windows, you receive the error message: 'An internal error has occurred: The parameter is incorrect: (0x80070057)'.

Step 3:

On the Edit Menu, right-click and choose New => DWORD value.

Step 4:

Name this value CopyFileBufferedSynchronousIo .

Step 5:

Right-click CopyFileBufferedSynchronousIo and select Modify .

Step 6:

At the Value data frame, set the value to 1 and click OK .

Step 7:

Exit Registry Editor.

1.2. Change Decimal Symbol settings

Follow the steps below to fix 0x80070057 error:

1. Click Start => Control Panel => Date, Time, Language and Regional Options => Region and Language .

2. Click on the Formats tab, then click to select Additional settings .

3. At the Decimal symbol frame, enter . (Dot) , then click OK twice.

4. Finally restart your computer.

2. Error 0x80070057 during installation or on Microsoft Outlook

The second cause of 0x80070057 error may be due to the System Reserved partition is faulty (for some reason).

To fix this error, you must delete existing partition windows on previous versions of Windows, including the System Reserved partition (usually located on the C: drive). Then proceed to Format Disk to delete Windows installation.

To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Insert the Windows 7 DVD drive and start the installation.

2. Select Custom (advanced) .

3. Select Disk 0 partition 1 and then click Delete to delete System Reserved Space.

4. Click OK on the dialog window that appears on the screen.

5. Next select Disk 0 partition 2 , and perform the same steps as on Disk 0 partition 1.

6. Now you will have some Unallocated Space hard drive partitions, your task is to select and create a new partition.

Note: Take careful steps to create a new Disk, calculate the new Disk size, then click Apply .

7. At this time, a new message dialog box appears, click OK.

8. Next select Disk 0 partition 2 and proceed to Partition Format again.
