Android users need to urgently delete these 28 harmful applications
Many Android users like to use VPN apps to bypass firewalls or unblock restrictions on certain audio and video platforms. Among these, many people choose free VPNs, however these free applications can contain hidden dangers.
The latest report shows that at least 28 VPN applications have been implanted with malicious programs by hackers, of which 17 applications pretend to be free VPN applications. If accidentally installed, they will become a springboard for hackers and unintentionally becomes their accomplice. Therefore, if installing them, users need to remove them quickly.
According to a report by Bleeping Computer, security company Human Security has discovered a total of 28 applications containing malicious programs shared on the Google Play Store targeting Android phones, of which 17 are fake applications. Free VPN to entice users to download.
Specifically, if users unfortunately install these applications, their Android phones may be implanted with a malicious program called 'Proxylib' and become a 'proxy server' for hackers. In addition to hacker groups collecting users' personal privacy, they can also take advantage of their phones to carry out cyber attacks and become accomplices. Currently, these applications have also been removed from the Google Play Store.
