Viber announced on December 19 that it has released an extra version of Viber running on Windows RT / Windows 8.1 operating system.

According to Neowin , similar to the version running on smartphones, Viber version of Windows RT / Windows 8.1 will still be fully complemented with free calling features, group chat or create funny stickers while chatting. .

The addition of Viber to Windows RT / Windows 8.1 will create a fierce competition for the Skype version that is pre-installed on the Windows operating system.

Currently, Windows RT / Windows 8.1 users can download the Viber version for free on the Windows Store app store.
