According to the media, the Tor development team is preparing to launch a new anonymous chat application called Tor Instant Messaging Bundle (TIMB).
By using the open source instantbird client as a basis, TIMB aims to maximize user privacy protection.
Previously, TIMB was released at the 2014 Winter Dev Meeting event, promising to become a standard application in the field of security chat, before the software was released widely from March 31.
Before TIMB, the Tor team impressed with Tor's secure browser product, which helps to protect users' privacy as long as they don't use torrents, browser plugins and data downloads.
As planned, if TIMB operates smoothly, this chat application will be integrated as a standard in the Tor browser package.
