Searching in IE8 pages gives results faster
Network Administration - Obviously, IE8 is competing fiercely to retake the browser market share from key competitors like Firefox. Besides some of the outstanding features you know about this new browser such as Accelerators and Web Slices, IE8 has a lot of small but really useful improvements.
First of all, there is a dynamic inline search. This is not the work of search engines, it is the search of text within the page you are currently viewing. Previous versions of IE often rely on the pop-up search box, you need to enter the search term into it, then click Find.
However, there is an improvement in IE8 (just like in recent versions of Firefox), searching inside a page (inline search) is much more dynamic: Press Ctrl-F to appear the search field. Search (it appears immediately at the position below the tabs), then enter the word you want to find. The browser will highlight words that correspond to each character you enter.
In the illustration, you can see that I typed a netbook , but IE started marking the word well since I entered three net letters. In addition, if a search term appears in both the title and the body, the browser will mark both - but different colors! There is no such feature in Firefox.
If you have never tried searching in such a page with IE8, try doing it once. I'm sure you will feel a lot more interesting with this feature in IE8, my real experience has shown that this is a much better feature than other browsers.
