Adobe Photoshop launches Remove Tool: The ultimate AI object removal tool

How to remove objects with Photoshop's new Remove Tool

Here's the basics on how to use the Remove Tool to remove people or objects from your photo.

Step 1: Select Remove Tool from the toolbar

 

In the Photoshop beta, the Remove Tool is found on the toolbar, grouped with the Spot Healing Brush and other Photoshop healing tools.

Click and hold on the Spot Healing Brush (or whatever tool in the group you used last time). Then choose Remove Tool from the menu that appears.

Step 2: Adjust the brush size of Remove Tool

The Remove Tool is a brush, not a selection tool. You just need to paint over the object or person you want to delete.

Change your brush size using the left and right bracket keys ( [ and ] ) on your keyboard. The bracket on the left makes the brush smaller and the bracket on the right makes it larger.

Step 3: Draw on the person or object you want to erase

Then paint over the person or object you want to remove from the photo. Draw the object completely.

By default, the Remove Tool will attempt to remove the person or object as soon as you release the mouse button.

Step 4: Release the mouse button

Release your mouse button after the area to be erased is completely covered by the brush. Remove Tool's artificial intelligence will instantly remove the object.
