PUBG Mobile Vehicle Guide: Choosing and Using Transport on Every Map

Vehicles in PUBG Mobile are rotation tools, emergency cover, and sources of noise that can expose an entire squad. Large maps such as Miramar and Erangel usually make an early vehicle valuable; on compact maps such as Sanhok, Livik, and Nusa, driving can attract more attention than the distance saved. Choose by terrain, team size, fuel, durability, and the next circle—not by one universal ranking.

Plan the vehicle before you need it

• When landing near the edge, mark a likely vehicle route before leaving the aircraft.
• Check fuel and visible damage before committing to a long rotation.
• Keep the squad together; a two-seat vehicle is a poor choice for four players unless a second vehicle is ready.
• Leave early enough to avoid driving directly through the blue zone and a bridge choke point at the same time.

Vehicle spawns and map layouts change with updates, so learn several roadside spawn areas rather than memorizing one car.

Erangel: balance speed, protection, and bridge risk

Erangel's open fields and long rotations make a four-seat vehicle useful for squads. Enclosed vehicles provide more protection from incidental fire, while motorcycles move quickly but expose the riders and punish bad landings.

Before crossing a bridge, slow down far enough away to observe abandoned cars, smoke, and players on the approaches. A boat can bypass a held bridge, but beaching it in open terrain creates a different risk. Park on the protected side of a ridge or building instead of directly beside the door you plan to enter.

Miramar: choose stability for rough terrain

Miramar's hills, cliffs, and broad open ground favor vehicles that remain controllable over uneven surfaces. A Buggy handles rough routes and is easy to reposition, but its two exposed seats are a disadvantage for a full squad. Pickups and other multi-seat options offer more team capacity, while a fast road car is best kept on predictable paved routes.

Drive around steep slopes instead of attacking them head-on. Use low ground to hide the vehicle from distant shooters, and avoid cresting a ridge at full speed without knowing what lies beyond it.

Sanhok: drive only when the rotation justifies the noise

Sanhok's shorter distances and dense cover often make running safer than announcing the squad with an engine. Vehicles still help when the circle shifts across the map or a team must escape an exposed river crossing.

Stop before the destination and approach the final compound on foot. Driving directly into Bootcamp, Paradise Resort, or another occupied landmark makes it easy for several teams to focus the vehicle.

Vikendi: traction, visibility, and exposed routes

Snowy and open areas can make movement easy to see, while towns and industrial sites create sharp changes between long sight lines and close fights. Choose a stable vehicle, avoid stopping on a frozen channel, and leave room to change direction if a bridge or road is held.

Compact maps: Livik and Nusa

On compact maps, vehicles are best for urgent zone shifts, flanks, or quick disengagement. Because travel times are short, an engine can reveal the squad to opponents who would never have seen a foot rotation. Treat the vehicle as a temporary tool and abandon it before the last approach.

Use a vehicle as cover—carefully

A stopped vehicle can block bullets during a rescue or exposed crossing, but it is destructible. Park with the engine side or largest body panel between the squad and the threat, then move away if the vehicle begins smoking or taking sustained fire.

• Do not revive directly against a badly damaged vehicle.
• Avoid standing between the vehicle and a wall where an explosion leaves no escape.
• Use smoke to supplement the vehicle rather than assuming metal alone is safe.
• Park so the squad can exit on the side away from the enemy.

Do not use a teammate as disposable bait

The original tactic suggested sending one player in a vehicle to draw fire. That can reveal an enemy angle, but it often sacrifices the driver and gives opponents a free vehicle kill. A safer version is a coordinated feint: drive behind hard cover, change direction, and let teammates watch likely firing positions without leaving the driver in an open line.

Communicate the route, timing, and escape point before moving. If the squad cannot see the suspected enemy positions, the feint provides little useful information.

Vehicle combat rules that prevent avoidable deaths

• Change seats or fire only when the route is stable and the driver understands the plan.
• Do not jump from a fast-moving vehicle unless staying inside is more dangerous.
• Use boosts on long open roads, not when precise steering is required.
• Refuel behind cover and cancel immediately if shots land nearby.
• After arriving, move away from the engine noise before looting or healing.
• Never remain beside a smoking vehicle.

Armored and special vehicles
