How to Find Teammates Who Speak Your Language in PUBG Mobile

PUBG Mobile may provide a language preference in its team-matching or recruitment interface. Set your primary language and, if offered, a second language before starting Squad matchmaking. This improves the match preference but does not guarantee that every teammate will speak or use voice chat in that language.

Set a matchmaking language preference

1. Open the mode-selection or team-matching screen from the lobby.
2. Choose a team mode such as Squad and enable automatic matching.
3. Look for Match by Language, a language icon, or a teammate-preference control.
4. Select your primary language.
5. If a second option is available, choose a language you can use well enough for short tactical calls.
6. Save the selection and begin matchmaking.

The wording and location can differ by regional edition and update. If the option is absent, use the recruitment channel instead of changing game files or installing another client.

Use team recruitment filters

Recruitment tools can be more reliable than random matching because you can state the language, map, rank, perspective, microphone preference, and play style before anyone joins.

A useful recruitment message is short and specific: “Vietnamese squad, TPP, ranked, microphone preferred, team play.” Do not post phone numbers or account credentials in public chat.

Build a regular squad

After a good match, add cooperative teammates from the results screen. Confirm the player ID and send a brief message reminding them where you met. A small list of reliable contacts produces better coordination than repeatedly searching for random speakers of the same language.

A clan can also provide a persistent chat and group of players, but read its activity, region, and conduct expectations before joining.

Communicate without voice

Language matching does not require an open microphone. PUBG Mobile's map markers, pings, quick messages, and item markers can communicate the essentials:

• enemy location and direction;
• planned landing point;
• safe-zone movement;
• needed ammunition or healing;
• a request to regroup or hold position.

Use a small number of clear pings. Repeated markers without context can hide the important alert.

If no same-language teammates are found

• Keep the second-language preference broad enough for your region.
• Try recruitment during the active hours for the server.
• Use standard short calls such as “enemy,” “zone,” “wait,” and compass directions.
• Play with automatic matching disabled until friends are available.
• Switch to a different mode only if you actually want that mode; do not sacrifice latency merely to change the language pool.

Region, server, and language are different settings

A server affects latency and matchmaking population. A language preference affects teammate selection or recruitment metadata. Changing to a distant server can increase delay without ensuring a shared language. Choose the region with a stable connection first, then use the social and language tools available there.

Voice-chat safety

Mute abusive players, report threats or harassment, and avoid sharing personal details. A shared language does not make a stranger trustworthy. Keep communication focused on the match and use the game's blocking controls when necessary.
