Outlook.com also offers Microsoft email encryption to prevent others from reading your mail. A link will be sent to encrypted email recipients so that they can open on Outlook.com or if using Outlook.com, Outlook for iOS or Android or Windows Mail can open it normally. Unfortunately, this feature is not available in Outlook 2016 on the desktop.

Users can prevent email forwarding to avoid spreading and sharing sensitive information. In the email, the attachments will also be encrypted so that the recipient cannot download and send it.
