List of devices to be updated Android 4.4 KitKat

Android 4.4 KitKat has officially launched with the Google Nexus 5 and immediately manufacturers have listed devices that will be updated to this new version.

Google said Android 4.4 will be updated for Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 in the next few weeks. Galaxy Nexus's Spanish support page says this device will not be included in KitKat, it is unclear why and cannot confirm that information.

HTC also plans to upgrade the regular HTC One within the next 90 days and the One Google Edition version will be updated only 2 weeks later. Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition will also be updated Android 4.4 KitKat soon.

HTC One Google Edition will be prioritized to update Android 4.4 KitKat

Below is a list of devices that will be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat in the near future.

Samsung

1. Galaxy S4: Galaxy S4 and Zoom versions, Active, LTE-A.
2. Galaxy S3 (possibly Galaxy S2).
3. All Note lines.
4. Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3.
5. Galaxy Tab3, Galaxy tab 2.

HTC

1. HTC One, HTC One X and HTC One X +.
2. Series Desire 2013.
3. Desire X and Desire V.
4. DROID DNA, HTC J and Butterfly.

Sony

1. Xperia Z ZR, ZL, Z Ultra and Z1 Honami.
2. Xperia tablet S and tablet Z.
3. Mid-range products such as Xperia M, C, SP, L, S, SL, U.

LG

1. LG G2.
2. Optimus L7, L5.
3. Optimus G and G Pro.
4. The Optimus VU phone line.

However, it is unclear exactly the date of upgrade of each device, most likely the leading smartphones of the company will be upgraded first, followed by the remaining products at reduced prices. According to the upgrade 'history' , Samsung is currently the fastest software update for its products, right behind Google's Nexus devices.

If your device is not on the list above, do not worry because in addition to the genuine ROM, you can still have ROM cook AOSP such as Cyanogen, Paradroid . for Android 4.4 to upgrade.
