More than 64 million devices will be killed by Chrome
A team of programmers at the XDA Developers forum found that some new code is quite interesting on the source code of the Chrome version of Android application. This code shows that Chrome may not support Android devices running Jellybean OS in the near future.
Currently, any device running Android 4.1 and above can install Chrome on Google Play Store. But in the near future, Chrome will only support devices running Android 4.4 KitKat and above.
According to statistics, there are about 3.2% equivalent to more than 64 Android devices still running Jellybean and in the near future they will be killed by Chrome. Of course, these Android devices running this Jellybean OS will still be able to use Chrome browser but will not be supported to upgrade to the new version as well as security patches.
The code about information that has appeared on Chrome's source code means that executing 'death declaration' will soon take place even though Google has not yet made an official announcement.
