The Internet and Domain Name Authority (ICANN) has released the latest report on changing DNSSEC KSK key on DNS ROOT system on 11/10. Accordingly, the DNSSEC KSK key exchange process took place successfully to help improve the security of the domain name server system.
In the recent transformation of DNSSEC KSK, 99% of Internet users worldwide are not affected.
In Vietnam, large Internet service providers (ISPs) such as VNPT, Viettel and FPT Telecom have not enabled DNSSEC authentication feature (DNSSEC Validation), so they are not affected by the change of DNSSEC KSK key recently. .
Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) said that from December 20, 2016, the national DNS server system '.VN' officially deployed DNSSEC, connecting to the domain name server system. Root - DNS ROOT and other international DNS systems follow DNSSEC safety standards. This helps the '.VN' domain name query on the Internet to be accurate and reliable.
In the middle of March 2018, VNNIC expanded to deploy DNSSEC on the entire server system managing shared second-level domain names by administrative boundaries (hanoi.vn, danang.vn, thanhphohochiminh.vn . ) and divided by field (net.vn, com.vn, gov.vn .). In addition, the process of creating a new key and signing the 2nd DNSSEC for the domain name '.VN' is also implemented by VNNIC.
The creation and re-signing of DNSSEC (DNSSEC Key Rollover) for the domain name '.VN' is carried out annually by VNNIC to ensure the highest safety.
