How to use the Clone tool in GIMP
GIMP is a free editing program that can be downloaded at gimp.org. Among the many tools included, the Clone tool is quite useful to eliminate drawbacks in some situations.
1. Select the image that you want to edit. For example, choose a rose shape on a green grass background.
2. Click on the Clone tool , which looks like a stamp.
3. Look at the toolbar in the Clone tool . Users can adjust the opacity (Opacity). If the opacity is less than 100, the image will look more natural. Also, depending on the content of the photo, adjust the size accordingly. The last thing to do is change the brush and brush size.
4. Hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard while using the mouse to click the area you want to duplicate. You can change the size of the clone brush by moving the size button.
5. After selecting the area you want to copy, hold down the CTRL button and click on the area you want to paste. Users can click as many areas as they want and the cloned image will appear there.
6. Repeat the process as needed.
