How to Add Text with GIMP

GIMP Overview

1. Open GIMP photo editing software.

2. Simultaneously press the "Ctrl" and "N" keys to open the new image template (New Image). Or, press the "Ctrl" and "O" keys simultaneously to open an existing image.

4. Select the desired font, size and color for the text, among the options that appear at the bottom of the Toolbox window.

5. Click where you want the text to appear in the Image window.

7. Click the "Close" button at the bottom of the Text Editor window, after finishing adding text.

8. Simultaneously press the "Ctrl" and "S" keys to save the changes to the image.
