Step 1 : Click the Start Menu (bottom left of the screen) --> Run (for Windows XP )

Type the command " gpedit.msc " --> OK .

Step 2 : In User Configuration -> Administrative Templates > System

Step 3 : In the System window on the right, double-click on the text " Don't run specified Windows applications".

A dialog box will open; select Enabled and then click the Show button.

Type " avnotify.exe " in the Value field --> OK

Step 4 : Restart your computer.

Don't celebrate too soon, because even after this step, you still won't be able to remove all the ads. Keep going!

Step 5 : After restarting your computer, type secpol.msc into Run --> OK

Step 6 : Right-click on the Software Restriction Policies folder --> select New Software Restriction Policies (you can skip this step if Software Restriction Policies already exists).

Right-click on Additional Rule --> New Path Rule

Step 7 : The Path dialog box opens. Click Browser to select the path to the avnotify.exe file (usually C:Program FilesAviraAntiVir Desktopavnotify.exe ).

Under Security Level, select Disallowed.

Click OK to save the settings.
