How to set up Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Contacts on iPhone or iPad
If you want to add a Google account to your iPhone or iPad system app, you must go to Settings> Mail or Calendar or Contacts .
Apple is using open standard IMAP, CalDAV, and CardDAV services to handle Google services synchronously, but Gmail only supports IMAP and sometimes it can cause special problems if you like the label system of Gmail. If you want to use its integrated iOS mail application and its unified inbox but don't have a paid account, this is your only option.
