How to disable Quick Access shortcut on Google Drive

Quick Access shows recently opened files in Google Drive, which can sometimes be inconvenient for users. This article guides you on how to disable this feature on computers, Android, and iOS.

How to turn off Quick Access on Google Drive

1. How to do it on computer

Step 1: On the Google Drive interface, click on the gear icon (settings).

Step 2: After clicking on the gear icon, a small Menu interface appears, click on Settings .

Step 3: Here, in the default General section, you will see the Quick Access item and you just need to uncheck it.

2. How to do it on iPhone, iPad

Step 1: On iPhone and iPad devices, click on the Setting icon in the left corner .

Step 2: A Menu panel has appeared, this time you scroll down and click on Settings .

Step 3: Immediately a section called Quick Access appears, click on it.

Step 4: Here you just swipe the lever from right to left to turn off Quick Access on Google Drive.

3. How to do it on Android devices.

Step 1: Similar to Android, just click on the settings icon on the left.

Step 2: Next, the Menu panel appears, scroll down and you will see the Settings section , click on it.

Step 3: In the Settings section , there is a section called Enable quick access , swipe from right to left to turn it off.

When using Google Drive, the Quick Access feature helps you quickly access frequently opened files. However, if you don't want recent files to appear on the home page, you can turn it off, making file management easier, especially when working with many important documents.
