How to delete Significant Locations (important locations) on iPhone, iPad

Maps on iOS devices can proactively provide the estimated time for some places you frequently visit. It is a useful feature because even if you don't need directions, the Maps app can still rely on routes and important locations to notify you of the expected time accurately.

However, in fact, such proactive notifications can be based on wrong addresses. In this case, you need to delete the data and wait for iOS to update the address correctly.

How to change the address in Significant Locations

1. Open Settings on iPhone or iPad.
2. Click Privacy .
3. Click Location Services .
4. Select System Services
5. Select Significant Locations . You will receive an authentication request.
6. Select a city or town from the list if you see the addresses listed incorrectly.
7. Click on an address to delete. If you want to delete the entire history at an address skip the next 2 steps.
8. Click Edit .
9. Click on the red button .
10. Click Delete . Repeat steps 9 and 10 until all the addresses are incorrect.
11. Click on the location name .
12. Click Significant Locations if you go into a specific address.
13. Click Clear History to clear the entire history of Significant Locations.
14. Click Clear History to confirm.
15. If you don't want Apple to continue collecting information about the places you often go, turn off Significant Locations.

Unfortunately, you cannot modify these addresses yourself. You can only delete data, often to the correct location for iOS to learn and update. Of course, with some addresses such as private homes, offices, Maps updates quite precisely because of the information you add in Contacts.
