How to check the safety cable for your iPhone
Did you know, inexpensive connecting cables can damage your phone, or it may even cause a fire or explosion problem that is dangerous to the user.
Genuine Apple cables are integrated with a small chip that prevents power from skyrocketing, and the room raises excessively to protect the iPhone. All cables manufactured by Apple or other manufacturers with this chip protection unit will be certified as Made For iPhone (MFi) by Apple.
So how can users know an MFi certified accessory?
To help users know which brands and product models are MFi certified, Apple has provided a web-based database so they can easily look up.

According to ABC's Goodmorningamerica site, experts have discovered that even cables claiming to have MFi certificates sold on sites like Amazon when tested do not see the protection chip. This means that the provider lied and you should check on the Apple website before deciding to buy a cable.
