A bill for phones using a common cable standard has been passed, iPhone is about to use USB-C cable?

Over the weekend, EU lawmakers finished voting on a bill to impose joint connectivity standards for phones sold in Europe. The voting result of this meeting is 582 votes for and only 40 votes against.

According to information from the European Parliament, this draft law will be applied to EU countries by July 2020 this.

In order to apply common connectivity standards for devices manufactured and sold in Europe, for more than a decade, the European Union has tried hard to convince smartphone manufacturers.
