The early update of 2022 allows users to run Android apps on Windows 11
Microsoft just rolled out the first major update to Windows 11, which includes a ton of new features.
Most notably, Windows 11 users (all channels both official and experimental) can run Android apps on Windows 11. Besides, there's also the appearance of Notepad and the new Media Player. Windows 11's first major update also includes a series of improvements to the Taskbar.
However, it should be noted that Windows 11's ability to run Android apps is still in beta. Users will only be able to install apps through the Amazon Appstore with a rather limited number of apps compared to the massive Google Play Store. However, you can overcome it by installing the Google Play Store on Windows 11:
The biggest change in this Windows 11 update is related to the Taskbar. Now, the time and date are displayed on all monitors if the multi-monitor setup is set up, something that was missing when Windows 11 was released.
The weather widget has also returned to the Windows 11 Taskbar in this update, and a new on/off feature will appear on the Taskbar for Microsoft Teams. You can also quickly share an app's screen or a Taskbar window directly into a Microsoft Teams call.
Microsoft has also redesigned the Media Player and Notepad apps for Windows 11. Notepad now includes multi-step undo capabilities, an improved search interface, and support for dark mode. The new Media Player application is designed to replace the old Groove Music and Windows Media Player. It supports both audio and video and has a new design to better match the interface improvements of Windows 11.
While Microsoft has decided to release a feature update for Windows 10 and Windows 11 each year, major updates like these aren't the only ones this year. Instead, Microsoft will add new features on a more regular basis.
Let's wait and see what surprises Microsoft has for us?
