Google Drive on iOS and Android is updated with new Material style interface

Google recently released an updated interface for Google Drive with a new Material-style design to mobile users. Not only the new interface, this update of Google Drive also helps synchronize the experience between applications in the G Suite toolkit and makes managing file storage easier.

New points in the Google Drive Material interface update

1. Additional Home Tab displays the most important files for users.
2. Add the bottom navigation bar with options to switch between items and give you faster access to the most important items.
3. The extended search bar allows more access on the application, including from the Team Drives page.
4. My Drive, Storage Group, Computer displayed in the File view makes it easier for users to manage data.
5. The account conversion feature is moved to the location at the top right of the Drive application.
6. The action menu contains modified actions.

Google is currently only deploying new updates of Google Drive as an account. IOS users will experience it from March 12, 2019, Android devices will be updated a few days later, from March 18, 2019.
