Fixes the 'No access to Disk Manager' error.

When managing hard drives, creating partitions, or formatting USB drives, encountering the error message 'You do not have access rights to Logical Disk Manager on DESKTOP' can negatively impact your work. Below are some ways to fix this error.

 

How to fix the "No access to Disk Manager" error.

Run Disk Management with administrator privileges.

In some cases, even if your account has administrator privileges, Windows may not upgrade the program correctly. Therefore, try running Disk Management again as Administrator .

Accessed from Computer Management

Disk Management is located within the Computer Management tool, so you can access it from there.

Type "Computer Management" in the search bar.

Then you simply click on Disk Management in the list of displayed interfaces.

Activate the Administrator account.

Windows has Administrator accounts with higher privileges than regular administrator accounts, including full control over disk management services and system-level registry keys used by Disk Management.

Use an administrator account.

If you are currently using a Standard account, you will need to switch to a different administrator account to access Logical Disk Manager.

Fix system file errors.

Use the Software Firmware Control Center (SFC) and DISM tools to check for corrupted files on your computer that are causing Logical Disk Manager to be inaccessible.

Create a new account

If none of the above methods work, your Windows account may be corrupted. Create a new administrator account to reset it from scratch.
