Firefox 78 supports Dark Mode for library windows and turns into a PDF reader
Mozilla said it has fixed more than 800 bugs of the Mozilla Firefox 78 Nightly version since the previous roadmap update. Besides the bug fixes, there are also many new features added to the browser.
Library window has support for Dark Mode
Due to the inconsistency between the overall interface and the Library window of Firefox, Mozilla decided to update the Dark Mode interface for this library window. There are also many other accompanying changes such as:
• The DevTools Accessibility control panel is enabled by default.
• The Firefox uninstaller now has a Refresh Firefox option to refresh instead of uninstalling.
• Context menu errors on macOS Catalina have been fixed.
• WebRender supports Windows Intel systems with larger screens.
• Firefox restores closed tabs in bulk using the Undo Close Tabs option.
Firefox allows you to turn your browser into the default PDF reader
Previously, users could not use Firefox as the default PDF reader on Windows 10. And this is a new feature that Firefox added to its version 78.
To set Firefox as your default PDF document reader, follow these steps:
• Press Windows key + I to open the system settings window, then access Apps> Default Apps.
• Scroll to the Choose default apps by file type section and replace the default PDF reader currently used on your system to Firefox.
