Google and Apple have launched Covid-19 infection warning tool

Apple and Google have teamed up to build an 'Exposure Notice' API that makes apps created by public health agencies more accurate, reliable, and efficient on both Android and iPhone phones.
In an online meeting on the morning of May 21, Google and Apple officially announced: 'In the past few weeks, our two companies have been working together, reaching out to officials. public health officials, scientists, security groups and government leaders around the world to get instructions from them. '
Basically, from now on, Apple's Exposure Notification API and Google will be available to public health agencies on both iOS and Android. What both companies build is not an application but instead, public health agencies will incorporate the API into the applications that people install.
This tool uses Bluetooth connectivity to connect phones. Developed by Google and Apple, it is supposed to make it easier for Android and iOS phones to communicate with each other.
Apple and Google API technology is designed to make these applications work better. It is also up to the user to decide whether to allow the Exposure Notification API to work. Google claims that the system does not collect or use location from the device. If a person is diagnosed with Covid-19, it is up to them to report it in the public health application. User acceptance is the key to success, and both Apple and Google believe these powerful privacy protections are also the best way to encourage users to use these apps.
It is known that one of the most effective techniques that public health officials have used is contact tracking services. Through this method, public health officials can contact, examine, treat and advise people who may have been exposed to people with Covid-19. With the exposure notice, this will help slow the spread of the disease with SARS-CoV-2 virus, which has few symptoms when it first becomes infected.
According to Google and Apple, there are 22 countries are requesting to use the API set above, and may increase in the near future. The API is currently only available to government health organizations, not yet widely available to others.
