Facebook calls this action " Like-baiting " ( Like, fishing Like ).
Facebook gives an example of a content they call Like-baiting.
News Feed is full of junk content that members of the members voluntarily click Like . However, in the end Facebook itself suffered criticism, so it decided to take drastic action to limit the situation.
