Facebook upgrade News Feed, support 3D image display, VR and AR virtual reality
Facebook is planning to upgrade the News Feed to a new level by supporting the display of 3D images and virtual reality VR, AR. This big change will help manufacturers' products and online sellers be displayed in a special way.
Facebook has now experimented with some 3D images in glTF 2.0 format. Viewers can rotate 360 degrees around objects thanks to 3D images. When this feature is complete, scanned images from the smartphone's 3D camera can be uploaded to Facebook easily.
Currently, some well-known brands like LEGO, Jurassic World, Clash of Clans and Wayfair are the first users to test posting 3D images on their News Feed.
With this new technology, the Facebook Spaces virtual reality social network version promises to be able to see both 3D articles and images in the virtual world. Who knows, Facebook will use this app so we can create 3D avatar or 3D cover image in the near future.
Readers can experience this exciting feature of Facebook with 3D images below. Press, hold down the left mouse button and move to rotate 360 degrees around the object.
