Enable Cortana on Windows Phone 8.1
Cortana is a super useful personal assistant now available for Windows Phone 8.1. Today Microsoft releases Preview versions for developers and we are sure that you are eager to test them all to experience on your smartphone.
But how to turn Cortana on when it is only available in the US? After a few simple steps to change your area and set up languages, Cortana can work outside of the state and other countries.
All that's needed to change your Windows Phone to the US region is simply in the operating system installation area. Swipe down from the top of the Start screen and scroll down to the Notification Center to select "All Settings" , select your Tile or press "Settings" from the application list to continue. We will only take a few minutes but warn that this will change your regional settings to the US.
1. First, we have to change the English (United States) "English (United States)" setting . To do this, go to Settings> Language and add languages as a new item in the list by clicking the add button and selecting English (US) . The phone may require a reboot, please give it a reboot.
2. Go to the regional setting to change your region. All that is required for this step is to go to Settings> region (country / region) (Coutry / Region), select United States, the Region Format section you select English (United States). Then the phone will ask for a reboot.
You just need to set it up, you get Cortana.
A side effect of its appearance is that it will lose some free apps when you roam. So, this should be considered a preview of Cortana, or just note that there may be some negative consequences.
