5 Ways to 'Show Desktop' Super Fast for Windows

When working on a Windows computer, users sometimes have to return to the screen to launch another program from the desktop shortcuts while editing documents or performing other tasks. Note: One of these ways may not work in previous Windows versions, but they have been tested on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

Method 1: Display the Show Desktop button in the Taskbar

In Windows 7 and recent versions, users can move the mouse over the small button in the lower right corner of the screen, towards the right side of the Taskbar to preview the desktop window. Click this button to display the screen, and clicking it again will restore the window as before. You can also right-click to enable or disable Desktop Peek function (computer screen preview).

Method 2: Shortcut Win + D

Shortcuts   This performs the same function as the Show Desktop button mentioned above. Pressing this shortcut key once will display the Windows screen, press again all the windows are restored as before.
