Windows 7 can run on mobile devices
Huawei Technologies has demonstrated a 3.5G mobile module that allows Microsoft to run the upcoming Windows 7 operating system on mobile device platforms.
The above module model was introduced by Huawei Technologies at the new Windows (WinHEC) Hardware Engineer Conference held in Taipei earlier this week. According to Huawei, Asustek Computer decided to use the 3.5G mobile module integrated into the Eee PC mini-netbook (netbook).
According to IDC's report, global netbook consumption in 2009 will increase from 20.8 million to 11 million. Huawei believes that the 3.5G module will become a standard part of the future mobile Internet device platform.
In addition to penetrating the netbook market, Huawei also wants to boost cooperation with other mobile broadband service operators that use wireless devices running on Windows 7.
