Upgrade Macbook Air SSD 2015

Step 1:

Before taking the steps, be sure to power off your 2015 Macbook Air and disconnect all devices. Then flip Mac to put it face down on a soft cloth to proceed to open the back of the device.

Next using P5 dedicated tool Pentalobe Screwdriver removes 10 Pentalobe screws (special Pentalobe screws available only on Apple devices), fixing the panel, located at the edge of the screen as shown.

Step 2:

Use the fingertips to remove the cover ( panel ) under the Mac Air 2015 and set aside.

Step 3: Remove the PIN

Pull and pull lightly the piece of plastic attached to the PIN connector .

Note:

Do not remove the hand too strong or it will damage the connector.

Step 4: SSD (Solid-State Drive)

SSD drives are fixed by a 5-sided screw. Use T5 Torx Screwdriver to remove this screw from Logic Board .

Step 5:

Hold one end and gently pull the SSD hard drive out of Logic Board's socket.

Note:

Do not pull it hard because doing so may damage the SSD or SSD socket on Logic Board .

When installing the SSD hard drive , install it properly and in the right place, then use a specialized tool to twist the screws.
