The Windows application market combined has more than 500,000 applications

According to the latest announcement by Microsoft, the current two "application markets" of the company, Windows Phone Store and Windows Store, now have more than 500,000 applications, of which the Windows Phone Store is the biggest advantage.

Last year, Micrososft made a bold announcement that it will quickly narrow the gap between Windows Phone Store compared to other app stores like iOS or Android before the end of 2014. And so far, efforts have shown some encouraging results.

Of course, the individual comparison here will not be a problem when both applications will soon be merged into one of Windows 10 released next year. Thus, as of now, Microsoft has more than 527,000 applications in general.

Earlier, in August 2014, Microsoft also announced that the Windows Phone app store has grown rapidly and soon reached 300,000 applications compared to the expected.
