The new update fixes many bugs on Windows 10 April 2018 Update but causes a more serious error
Recently, Microsoft released a new cumulative update to Windows 10 Build 17134.38 (KB4103721) to fix critical errors in Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) including a device error that crashes when the user opens the program. Browse Google Chrome and a few other applications including Cortana.
This is the first cumulative build for Windows 10 version 1803. Although KB4103721 makes a lot of mistakes, many hardware models run Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) after the cumulative update has failed " black screen ", a new bug is much more serious than a bug that hangs when opening Google Chrome or Cortana.
Currently, Microsoft has not determined the cause and has not been able to provide a temporary fix.
If you encounter a "black screen" error after updating Windows 10 Build 17134.38, you can do the following:
- Reinstall from the beginning of Windows 10 April 2018 Update.
- Boot into Safe Mode and remove the manual update KB4103721.
If, after executing both methods, it is impossible to fix the black screen error, the only method you can choose is to bring the system back to the previous version of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
