The latest update to ChatGPT makes photo editing easier.
The continuous integration of AI features into innovative software is nothing new. In fact, it's almost a recurring theme across the industry. Recently, Adobe took it a step further by announcing it will completely change how (and where) people use its most popular applications.
Adobe integrates Photoshop, Express, and Acrobat directly into ChatGPT.
Recently, Adobe announced 'Adobe apps for ChatGPT,' bringing three of its most popular applications directly into ChatGPT: Photoshop, Acrobat, and Adobe Express. With this integration, you can essentially perform tasks you would normally do in these standalone applications directly within ChatGPT without switching tabs or opening separate software.
With Photoshop for ChatGPT , you can handle all the quick adjustments you would normally have to make using the full application through simple prompts. For example, you can edit specific objects, blur backgrounds, add effects like Glitch and Glow, and handle basic tasks like adjusting exposure and color without leaving ChatGPT.
Within the ChatGPT thread you're using, you'll also have adjustment sliders and intuitive controls to fine-tune your edits, allowing you to easily see changes in real time without opening Photoshop. However, there will also be an option to quickly open the image you're working on in the full Photoshop application, giving you access to advanced tools and features whenever needed.
With Adobe Express for ChatGPT, you can find suitable templates based on what you're working on and then customize them to your personal needs. For example, let's say you want to quickly create a Christmas card. You can go into ChatGPT, open a new thread, and say something as simple as "I want to create a Christmas card, use Adobe Express," and it will find suitable templates for you to customize.
Similar to how you can open an image you're editing in ChatGPT within the full Photoshop application, you can also open your Adobe Express project in the full Express interface if you want to access more advanced design tools or want to finish the work you're doing in the traditional workspace.
With Acrobat for ChatGPT, you can handle many document manipulation tasks right within the ChatGPT interface, such as editing PDFs in the chat, extracting text or tables, organizing and merging files, compressing files, and even hiding sensitive details! In the demo, they put a cover letter, resume, and cover letter into the chat and asked GPT to merge them all into a single, neatly formatted PDF file.
The best part is, instead of blindly performing the tasks you request, GPT prompts you for input and validation throughout the process, ensuring everything looks exactly as intended before finalizing the document.
Adobe says all apps are available in ChatGPT "for free". Photoshop, Express, and Acrobat for ChatGPT are already available on the desktop, web, and iOS versions of ChatGPT. Express for ChatGPT is currently available on Android, and the other two apps will be added soon.
