According to Neowin on January 3, the new Snapchat update fixes bugs using a friend search engine. This is the tool that hackers have used to collect a large number of phone numbers and usernames.
In parallel, Snapchat also announced that the new update also improved Snapchat application's access speed and limitations of some other options in the software.
Earlier, hackers spread about 4.6 million Snapchat accounts of users.
