Step 1: Boot the H646EW modem to default configuration

Turn on the modem and device, wait until all 4 lights are on, then reset. Use a toothpick to press the reset button (the reset button is on the side of the device), hold it for about 10 seconds then release it, at this time all the lights will turn off and the modem will restart.

Step 2:  Next, open your phone or computer and access the 'wifi' section, select the wifi name, then connect to the wifi and enter the password located on the back of the device.

Step 3 : Change wifi name and password

Viettel H646EW Modem displays all information on the interface just logged in, making it easy for users to use.

In wifi setting section:

1. Enter the wifi name you want to set in the SSID field
2. Enter the password you want to change in the password field.
3. Click submit to save all changes.

Step 4 : Configure modem H464EW into wifi transmitter

Next, to configure the H464EW modem as a Wifi transmitter, do the following:

On the Viettel configuration screen interface, go to Advanced Setup, here select Network -> select LAN -> here you will see the IP address is 192.168.1.1. Then enter the new IP address 192.168.1.15, or any number instead of the last 1 in the IP address, as long as it is between 2 and 254. 

In the DHCP server section, select Disable. Finally, click Apply to save the configuration.

Step 2: Open port on Viettel H646EW modem

After completing the login to the main interface on the modem, on the screen, select Firewall Setup, then select NAT, then select Port Forwarding and proceed to fill in the information of the port to open.

1. Protocol: Select TCL or you can select All or UDP
2. Start Port Number: Enter the port you want to open
3. End Port Number: Enter the port to open
4. Local IP Address: IP address of the device (camera, recorder)
5. Start Port Number (local): Enter the port to open
6. End Port Number (local): Enter the port to open

Then press Apply to add port

Step 3: Check if the port is open or not

After completing the port opening operation, the user needs to check whether his port is open or not. Go to ping.eu and select Port Check. At this time, the browser will redirect the page. 1. Click on the text Your IP is
