Set for the application to run automatically when booting Mac
You can set up to run the application automatically when booting your Mac directly on the Dock or selecting in the System Preferences of Mac OS X.
Sometimes you want to set up some applications to run automatically every time you start your Mac. With these two simple tips, you can easily for any application or even a bunch of applications that automatically run when you boot Mac OS.
The following tips work well on Mac OS X Lion OS, but also work well on previous Mac OS X versions.
Method 1: Select the application from the dock
If the application you intend to run automatically is on the Mac OS X dock, right-click on the application's icon (or hold down the Control key and click on the icon). Select Options and then select Open at Login .
Method 2: Select multiple applications at once in System Preferences
You can select multiple applications at the same time and set them to start automatically with the OS. Click on the Apple menu in the upper left corner of the Mac OS X screen, open System Preferences . In the System section, click Users and Groups .
Find the name of the user or group you want to set up in the list on the left, select the Login Items tab at the top. The screen will display a list of applications that run automatically when you log in to the system.
If you want to add or remove applications in this list, press the + or - button below to open the Finder , select the application to add or remove. If you want the application to run in the background at startup, check the Hide box.
