The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro has a silver aluminum frame with the Samsung logo on it (simple design, but still looks very premium).

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro's 13.3-inch, 1920 x 1080 display is very sharp and offers a variety of colors, but is a bit dim. The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro panel reaches 118% of the sRGB spectrum, which is equivalent to the average of a high-end laptop, beating the Yoga C930 (100%), but not as vivid as the Specter x360 (150%) and Huawei MateBook 13 (122%).
At 254 nits, the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro's screen is uncomfortably dim, as it's below the 328 nit average.
Keyboard, touchpad and stylus
Despite the low mobility, the keys of the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro still have a good bounce. The keys are equidistant from each other, but have a slightly dimmer backlight.
Samsung Notebook 9 Pro comes with the Active Pen included. This stylus has 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The button near the tip of the pen acts as an eraser, while the other button performs the right-clicking and selecting functions. Unfortunately, they can't be reprogrammed and there's no slot for pen placement.
12 x 6.4cm touchpad is very comfortable to use. The trackpad also responds to Windows 10 gestures such as two-finger scrolling and three-finger press.
Sound of Notebook 9 Pro
The speakers on Notebook 9 Pro are loud enough to play music in a small office, but aren't the best sounding options.
In the Samsung Settings app, you can adjust the sound with two presets, Music and Movies , but the Standard level sounds the most balanced.
Efficiency evaluate of Notebook 9 Pro
Equipped with an Intel Core i7-8565U processor with 8GB of RAM, Samsung Notebook 9 Pro has handled 40 Google Chrome tabs and 5 YouTube 1080p videos without any problems.
In the Geekbench 4.1 overall performance test, the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro reached 15,432, surpassing the 13,328 average of high-end laptops. With the same CPU, Specter x360 and MateBook 13 hit 14,935 and 17,214 respectively, while the Yoga Core C930's Core i7-8550U reached 14,739.
The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro took 24 minutes and 36 seconds to transcode a 4K video into 1080p, a few minutes slower than the 21 minutes and 45 seconds average.
Samsung's 256GB SSD copied 4.97GB of data in 13 seconds, for 392 megabytes per second. Although slower than the average high-end laptop (543 MBps), it surpasses Yoga C930's 256GB SSD (339 MBps) and matches the Specter x360's 256GB SSD.

With the Intel UHD 620 GPU, the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro scored 61,662 points in the 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited graphics benchmark test, well above the average for a high-end laptop (87,638).
The Specter x360 (90,977) and Yoga C930 (85,758) did better with the same GPU. The MateBook 13 (141,995) performed exceptionally well with the Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU.
Battery life of Samsung Notebook 9 Pro
Samsung Notebook 9 Pro is equipped with a battery large enough to help you through your workday. After continuously surfing the web via WiFi at 150 nit brightness, the Notebook 9 Pro lasted 8 hours and 53 minutes, surpassing the average of a high-end laptop (8 hours 29 minutes) as well as the Yoga C930 (8 hours 09 minutes) and MateBook 13 (6:15).
Heat of Samsung Notebook 9 Pro
