How to Invite Friends and Build a Team in PUBG Mobile

To invite a friend to a PUBG Mobile team, open the friends panel from the lobby and select the invite button beside an online player. The number of players who can join depends on the selected mode: a normal Duo or Squad lobby cannot accept more members than its team size.

Invite an existing friend from the lobby

1. Choose the map, perspective, and Solo, Duo, or Squad format.
2. Open the friends or social panel.
3. Find a player whose status shows that they are available.
4. Select Invite.
5. Wait for the player to accept before starting matchmaking.

A friend who is already in a match, another lobby, or a restricted activity may not be able to accept immediately. Avoid sending repeated invitations; one invite plus a chat message is easier to understand.

Add someone you just played with

After a match, use the results screen to add or invite a recent teammate when that option is available. You can also open the Recent Players section from the social panel, check the correct profile and player ID, and send a friend request.

Do not assume a display name is unique. Similar Unicode names are common, so verify the avatar and numeric ID before adding the player.

Recruit players you do not already know

The recruitment channel and team-finding tools can match players by mode, rank, language, microphone preference, or other filters exposed by the current version. State the planned map and play style clearly. Do not advertise account sales, unofficial UC offers, or paid boosting.

Friends, teams, groups, and clans are different

• Friends list: individual contacts you can message or invite.
• Match team: the temporary lobby that enters a match together.
• Friend Group: an organizational or social grouping for contacts, when provided by the current interface.
• Clan or Crew: a persistent community with its own roles, chat, activities, or progression.
• Custom room: a private match that can hold more participants and may require a Room Card.

If you need more than a normal squad, create an appropriate custom room rather than trying to exceed the selected team's slot limit.

If the invitation does not appear

• Confirm that both players use compatible regional editions and current app versions.
• Check whether the recipient has disabled invitations or enabled a “do not disturb” setting.
• Ask the player to return to the lobby after their current match.
• Make sure the selected mode has an open slot.
• Restart the lobby if the online status is stale.
• Use a friend request first if the player's privacy settings block invitations from strangers.

If a player is shown offline

Send a normal in-game message where possible and wait for the person to return. Some versions can notify linked or returning friends through platform features, but delivery depends on notification permissions and the account connection. Do not ask for another person's login credentials to make them appear online.

Manage unwanted invitations

Use PUBG Mobile's privacy, invitation, blocking, or “do not disturb” controls if strangers repeatedly interrupt the lobby. Report spam or fraudulent advertisements through the in-game profile or chat tools. Blocking an abusive player is safer than arguing in public chat.
