How to Create a Custom Room in PUBG Mobile

Create a private PUBG Mobile match with a Room Card, set the map, team mode, password, and slots, and troubleshoot missing or invalid room options.

Table of Contents

A PUBG Mobile custom room lets a host organize a private match with selected players. Creating one normally requires the appropriate Room Card. Joining an existing room does not require the host's card, but participants need the room ID and, when set, its password.

Check which Room Card you have

Open the inventory and read the current item description before using it. PUBG Mobile has offered different card types, durations, and room features over time.

  • Standard Room Card: creates a normal custom room with the options provided by that card.
  • Advanced Custom Room Card: exposes additional controls. PUBG Mobile support currently lists it under Store > Item.
  • Esports or event room access: may be limited to approved organizers, partners, or a specific event workflow.

Do not buy a “room code” or tournament account from another person. Use only items and organizer tools provided through the game or official PUBG Mobile esports channels.

Create the room

  1. From the lobby, open the mode-selection screen and find Room or Custom Room. The exact position can change after an interface update.
  2. Select Create Room.
  3. Choose the available Room Card when prompted.
  4. Enter a clear room name and optional password.
  5. Select the map, perspective, team format, and any other controls made available by the card.
  6. Create the room, arrange participants in the correct slots, and review the settings before starting.

Invite players

Share the room ID and password only with the intended participants. A public room name is not a secure access control. For a tournament, send the credentials shortly before check-in and change the room if they are posted publicly.

The host can usually invite friends from the in-game list and move players between available positions. Version 4.2 added host controls for checking team seating and adjusting member positions for Advanced and Esports Room Cards.

Choose settings that match the event

  • Solo, Duo, or Squad: determines team size and slot layout.
  • Map and mode: confirm that every participant has downloaded the required resource.
  • Perspective: select TPP or FPP according to the event rules.
  • Password: prevents casual players from filling reserved slots.
  • Advanced parameters: may include weapon, attachment, or zone controls depending on the current card.

Write the rules outside the room as well. A room setting cannot explain scoring, rematches, disconnects, prohibited behavior, or check-in deadlines.

Before pressing Start

  1. Count the players and verify each team.
  2. Check that spectators and staff occupy the intended slots.
  3. Confirm the map, mode, perspective, and password status.
  4. Ask participants to stop changing slots.
  5. Start only after the event administrator gives the signal.

If Create Room is unavailable

  • Confirm that the Room Card is in the inventory and has not expired.
  • Read whether it applies to Cheer Park, a normal custom room, or an advanced room.
  • Update PUBG Mobile through the official store.
  • Check the regional edition and server; features and store inventory can differ.
  • Restart the lobby after obtaining a card.

If a player cannot join

Recheck the room ID, password capitalization, game version, server, and downloaded map resources. A full room or an already-started match will also block entry. Do not share account credentials as a way to “fix” participation.

Large or public tournaments

A competitive event may require additional approval, observer tools, anti-cheat rules, and brand guidelines. The official PUBG Mobile tournament portal is the appropriate starting point for organizers seeking formal support. A normal Room Card alone does not make an event officially affiliated with PUBG Mobile.
