Microsoft has released an update for Skype running on Windows, with noticeable improvements being the addition of video calling capabilities between Lync service users and Skype.
Microsoft has released an update for Skype running on Windows, with noticeable improvements being the addition of video calling capabilities between Lync service users and Skype.
According to Neowin, Lync is seen as an alternative to traditional communication facilities in businesses, Lync users are business customers.
About a year ago, Lync and Skype users could only communicate with each other using messaging methods, which caused many difficulties for users of these two groups. However, in the release of Skype 7.0, Skype users were able to contact Lync users in pictures.
Note: this new feature in Skype is only supported for Windows 7 operating system users and above. Particularly, the version for iOS and Android is "promised" by Microsoft in the coming months.
