To manually update, you need to take two steps :

Step 1 : Visit the website to download the database update file to your computer.

Step 2 : set up a new database file identification program.

At the update page, you will see six files divided into two groups. Group 1 consists of three files: av-i386-daily.zip, av-i386-weekly.zip, av-i386-cumul.zip for Kaspersky Antivirus. If you are using Kaspersky Internet Security, you can use the remaining three files of group 2: av-i386 & ids-daily.zip, av-i386 & ids-weekly.zip, av-i386 & ids-cumul.zip, with additional sections Anti-network attacks.

You only need to download one of the three files below:

- av-i386-daily.zip : contains all virus updates from Sunday to the present day. This is the latest database file and updated regularly, users should use this file.
- av-i386-weekly.zip : contains all virus updates from last Sunday to last Saturday. Database updated once a week.
- av-i386-cumul.zip : contains all original virus updates until last Saturday.
